New Features On Shello — Version 1.4.0

Over the last couple of months we’ve been talking with so many of you about how we can make the experience better. The feedback you’ve given us has been incredibly constructive and thoughtful, just like the advice you’ve been sharing in the app!

New Groups To Join

We received so many fantastic group ideas from you and we’ve chosen the top seven: Startups & Business, Mental Health & Wellbeing, Money & Finance, Divorce, Students, Politics & Society and TV & Film.

Shello is available to download on the App Store and Google Play

Hit Edit from the top of your home screen to join them and start a post to discuss whatever’s on your mind.

We’ve also added a Shello group as we realised, from the many inspiring one to one chats we’ve had with you, that what was missing was a group space to have these conversations.

We plan to post interesting articles, discussions and progress updates here and ask for feedback as well. Plus we’d like to use it as a place to shine a spotlight on you, our amazing members, as well, so watch this space!

Ask Anonymously

Posting anonymously was an idea that came up a lot. Not for all posts, but just those questions that from time to time are too personal to want to ask publicly, or sensitive discussion topics you hesitate to post even though you really want to find out others’ opinions.

We’re so happy that it’s ready for you. Just tick the anonymous option at the bottom of the ‘Add post’ screen and your post and any conversation you have around it will stay totally anonymous and will not link back to your profile.

Edit your posts and comments

It’s a basic, we know, but still it’s a new feature that we hope will make your posting and sharing much easier. And now you don’t have to worry about typos!

To edit your post, click on the 3 green dots at the top corner to open the Edit option. And for replies to others’ posts, ‘long pressing’ your comment will open the Edit option.

Annoying glitches

We’ve also fixed some bugs and performance issues that we know a few of you have been having, especially our very patient Android users (we love you!) so please do update the app to the new version 1.4.0 before using it to get the best from it.

There’s more to come including merging posts from your groups into a single feed to stop you having to hop between them, editing your bio and more. And we’ll do our best to bring these to you as soon as we can.

Thank you so much for your support. See you over on Shello later!
